Alle Kaninchen waren gesund und wurden mit //ad libitum// Heurationiertem Alleinfutter (Pellets) sowie verschiedenen Grünpflanzen und Früchten ernährt, was die Autoren als angemessen erachteten.\\

Im Durchschnitt wurden pro Kaninchen 6,4 Bakterienarten bestimmt.
